Why? I am doing this because I know how feckless, fickle and inconstant I can be, but the God we worship is faithful and keeps his promises. So I have decided to highlight them, and categorise them as best I can. I am sure that I will get some of my categories wrong, and others are open to debate, but here goes:

My mistake was to use the Message (again). I couldn't see the categories or groupings you've suggested. But it has more to do with me reading the paraphrase than with your observations.
So for Exodus I will be in the ESV.
The sexual politics of Genesis are what struck me this time through. So many bad choices, immoral behaviours and disgusting habits. The joys of families.
