Amid all the prophecies of woe against various nations, this one verse stood out:
Isaiah 26:3-4
The LORD gives perfect peace to those whose faith is firm. So always trust the LORD because he is forever our mighty rock.

Thanks for the Rock verses. Our family is really into Rock business at the moment.
Has anyone else decided to skip to the second half of Isaiah? The First Act just makes me feel either frightened or resentful, depending on my mood.
Reading the historical psalms made me wonder why I'd read Kings or Chronicles at all.
What's more - as was highlighted at the Link tonight - the prodigal son doesn't actually have to work to gain his father's blessing, he just needs to return.
