Day 10 Leviticus 27- Numbers 8
Heavenly Father, your people have grown massively to over half a million, in fulfilment of your sworn promises to Abraham. You are faithful and we can trust you. May our lives reflect the ordering of your people here in Numbers and thank you for the reminder of your absolute purity and holiness and the redemption of the firstborn, and when we see the 204 animals slain just to dedicate the altar (7:88) we marvel at the once for all sacrifice of Jesus (Hebrews 10:12,14) which makes us perfect and holy.

Will be glad to leave Leviticus. It seems that back then no oddballs or strange animals or disabled people or animals with defect could come anywhere near God. Today, thanks to Jesus, oddballs are welcome - thank God for that...
Don't forget that all these stern warnings about unholiness were addressed to a people whom God has chosen to be "my kingdom of priests, my holy nation." (Ex 19:6)
